Case Study : Total

The Brief

Total South Africa’s head office is over 9 800m2 and accommodates over 500 employees. They required their offices to be renovated and re-designed to achieve the following:

  • Reflect the global corporate identity of Total whilst keeping a local African theme
  • Nurturing the new corporate identity of Total
  • Improved efficiency
  • Improved air quality and acoustics

The Result

The following was implemented for Total:

  • Open plan working environment and collaboration areas were created
  • Cellular offices and meeting rooms were strategically positioned around the open plan area
  • The executive suite was positioned to have views of the green area outside with direct escalators from the reception
  • Quiet rooms were added for making phone calls in private or working in concentration
  • An innovative and dynamic interior design was created to promote growth and knowledge sharing
  • Vibrant use of colours to reflect an African presence
  • Modern and local artwork along the walls
  • Canteen for staff and clients
